Tasty Tuesday
Guess what? It is Tasty Tuesday time again!
With the Hubby coming home at the end of the month, I will definitely have a few challenges when it comes to meals! While in the big sandbox, he is served chicken every single day! As the Hubby tells it, they have chicken prepared five ways. They are:
1.) Oven Baked Chicken
2.) Savory Baked Chicken
3.) Five Spice Chicken
4.) Fried Baked Chicken
5.) Jerk Chicken
If you hadn’t guessed it yet, the chicken that isn’t eaten is recycled the next day. By the time you get to jerk chicken that has got to be some seriously dry chicken!
My recipe for this week is a favorite of ours. It is inexpensive to make if I am lucky enough to catch a few good sales.
Flank Steak Fajitas- Hubby’s style!
2 to 3 lbs. Flank Steak
1 packet of fajitas seasoning
1 12 oz beer
1 bottle of Italian dressing
~Mix the seasonings, beer and dressing all together. May be a little foamy, that’s okay.
~ put flank steak into one or two gallon size resealable bags
~ pour seasoning mix over flank steaks. Seal bags.
~ let marinate over night.
Next Day
Remove flank steaks from gallon bags, careful not to spill the marinade. Grill the flank steaks over medium, until done to your preference. After cooking Hubby slices into very thin strips.
~ Bring about one cup of the marinade to a rapid boil. We then use this marinade to season onions and green peppers for our fajitas.
~ serve on warm tortillas with onions, green peppers, salsa, sour cream, cheese or whatever else your family enjoys!

Chuck would never make it over there. He has a fit if we have chicken twice in one week!
