Guess what? It is Tasty Tuesday time again!
With the Hubby coming home at the end of the month, I will definitely have a few challenges when it comes to meals! While in the big sandbox, he is served chicken every single day! As the Hubby tells it, they have chicken prepared five ways. They are:
1.) Oven Baked Chicken
2.) Savory Baked Chicken
3.) Five Spice Chicken
4.) Fried Baked Chicken
5.) Jerk Chicken
If you hadn’t guessed it yet, the chicken that isn’t eaten is recycled the next day. By the time you get to jerk chicken that has got to be some seriously dry chicken!
My recipe for this week is a favorite of ours. It is inexpensive to make if I am lucky enough to catch a few good sales. (more…)
When a deployment ends, the families left at home are ecstatic, to put it lightly. But with the joy of a long awaited reunion, comes readjusting that takes place right before, as well as after the homecoming. As I am counting down the days until our happy reunion, I thought I would do a “blog mini-series” on the preparation, as well as helpful tips for the family at home for a smoother transition and to help understand that the reunion process is not always easy and it is more likely for some tensions to occur, than for everything to go smoothly. And this is completely normal!
